The Geneva International PLM Group is focused on the business, management and organisational issues of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The Group is as interested in the strategies, business processes, metrics, data structures and human resources of PLM as it is in PLM applications.
The Group addresses the methodologies (the "how-to's") of PLM. For example, how to communicate about PLM, how to implement PLM, how to succeed with PLM, how to manage PLM, how to apply PLM, how to benefit from PLM, how to measure PLM.
The Group enables its members to address together PLM subjects of common interest. It does this through various types of joint activity. These include projects addressing specific areas of interest (such as benchmarking of PLM performance, creating common definitions of PLM job descriptions, etc.); as well as events such as meetings, round tables, workshops, seminars and conferences.
The Group encourages its members to contribute to an open and proactive reflection about real PLM issues. Members select the activities in which they want to participate (opt-in). Unless agreed otherwise, the results of a particular activity remain confidential to the participants.
Membership of the Group is open to individuals in companies developing and supporting products and services. It is also open to individuals in educational organisations. Members include managers and users of PLM, product managers and developers, as well as individuals working for suppliers of PLM products and services.
